SUMMARY:MoU between GUtech\, Oman (RIO) and the University of Sindh\, Pakistan (CIVIS)
DESCRIPTION:The University of Sindh in Hyderabad\, Jamshoro\, Pakistan and the German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 6\, 2019. The University of Sindh is represented by CIVIS (Center for Indus Valley Integrated Studies) and more particularly by Prof. Sarfraz Hussain Solangi\, whereas the German University of Technology in Oman is represented by RIO (Research Centre Indian Ocean) and Prof. Dr. Michael Jansen. \nBoth parties enter into this MoU aiming to promote and encourage scientific and academic collaboration in order to create linkages and to enrich the understanding of the culture of both Pakistan and Oman. \nThe MoU was signed in the framework of the International Start-up Workshop “Ports and Trans-Ports: Evolution and Revolutions in the Indian Ocean World”\, organised by the Research Centre Indian Ocean (RIO) and the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Germany.
