DESCRIPTION:In the framework of the International Conference “Silk Roads by Land and Sea” the Research Centre Indian Ocean – RIO organized the 1st online Matinée on Sunday\, March 13th\, 2022\, 15:00-16:30 Oman time (12:00-13:30 CET) on zoom platform. \nProf. Michael Jansen\, president of RIO\, welcomed the conference participants from more than 29 countries with his presentation Silk “Roads” by Land and Sea: Al Baleed\, Oman and Khoja Ahmed Yasawi\, Turkistan\, Kazakhstan. World Heritage Sites along the Silk “Roads”. World Heritage Sites along the Silk “Roads”. The interactive Q&A that followed allowed members to familiarize themselves with one another and get acquainted with the general subject of the conference. \nEven though the event was not open to the public; rather it was an attempt to bring the participants of the upcoming conference together and open the discussion on the Silk Roads\, the video recording of the presentation will be available soon.  \nMore information on the 1st Matinée and the abstract of the presentation can be found here
