DESCRIPTION:The first meeting of RIO Task Force was held on May\, 8th 2018. Professors from different Departments of GUtech\, members of RIO as well representatives from the German Embassy in Oman attended the meeting and discussed fundamental issues regarding the form and the function of the Research Centre Indian Ocean. It is RIO’s vision and aim to act as a research platform that will bring together researchers and promote scientific work carried out within the region of the Indian Ocean.
