SUMMARY:International Technical Meeting on the Future of the Bamiyan World Heritage Property
DESCRIPTION:The objectives of the meeting are dealing with the future development of the Bamiyan valley in relation to the UNESCO World Heritage property. The meeting is organized in 6 sessions. The two first sessions will present the current status of the Bamiyan World Heritage Site and current issues of the development in the Bamiyan Valley respectively. Session 3 will focus on potential rehabilitation of the Eastern Buddha Statue\, session 4 will bring up the issue of creating an archaeologiccal Park in Bamiyan. Session 5 will have the form of a roundtable and discuss donor initiatives in Bamiyan\, whereas finally session 6 will present the results of the International Technical Meeting and open the discussion for further recommendations.
