MoU between GUtech / RIO (Oman) and the Aga Khan University (International) / AKU-ISMC (UK)

The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) through its Research Centre Indian Ocean (RIO) and the Aga Khan University (International) in the United Kingdom, through its Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in London UK, on September 26, 2019 . Both parties enter into this Memorandum of Understanding to promote and encourage scientific and academic collaboration, to promote academic linkages and to enrich the understanding of the Indian Ocean Cultures. The activities would likely include but are not limited to: 1) joint research activities and publications on Indian  Ocean heritage, archives, monuments and sites management; 2) the exchange of academic information and materials on Indian Ocean researches, heritage, monuments and sites management. 

GUtech designated Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael Jansen, Director Research Centre Indian Ocean (RIO) as its representative, while AKU designated Prof. Stephane Pradines as its representative.
