On December 15th, 2019 Prof. Dr. Michael Jansen gave a public lecture in Viersen on the Silk Roads, a vast trade network that connected the East and West via land and sea routes. The specific topic is of greater importance and will be thoroughly discussed in an international conference that will be organised by RIO and will be held in Muscat, Oman in September 2021.
